Production at Duvel Moortgat in Puurs-Sint-Amands (Antwerp Province) restarted last Thursday. The brewery now says that in the meantime production has also restarted at all other sites in Belgium and the United States and that production is running normally.
The sites in question are city brewery De Koninck in Antwerp, Brasserie d'Achouffe in Achouffe, Liefmans in Oudenaarde (East Flanders) and Boulevard Brewing in Kansas City in the United States.
The company is unable to release any further details on the investigation into the cyber-attack at the minute as a judicial enquiry is ongoing.
On Wednesday production of Duvel and other beers had to be halted suddenly after a cyber-attack.
It was the brewery's built-in security system that sounded the alarm, shutting down the servers for safety reasons. A Russian hackers’ collective is believed to be behind the attack.
