Brussels singer Angèle performed her new single ‘Love Triangle’ live on ‘The Tonight Show’ with Jimmy Fallon. For the Brussels-based singer this was her television debut in the United States. Watch her performance below.
An appearance on the popular American talk show allowed Angèle to reach a large new audience. The show averages nearly 1.4 million viewers per episode. ‘The Tonight Show’ also shared a clip of Angèle’s performance on social media; the show has 25.5 million followers on social media platform Instagram.
Accompanied by several dancers Angèle put on a stylish performance. The act was somewhat reminiscent of Rosalía’s rendition of ‘La Perla’ during her recent ‘Lux’ tour. Caroline Polacheck was not present in the TV studio, but this was resolved by showing a clip of the music video on a smartphone.
Two weeks ago, during a rain-soaked free gig on Brussels historic market square Angèle presented her new album ‘Instinct’. Stephen and David Dewaele, with whom she collaborated on the album, said at the time that “Angèle is already bigger than all of us”.
On Friday 6 November, the Brussels singer will perform a showcase for VRT radio channel Studio Brussel, and next summer she will be appearing at rock music festival Rock Werchter for the third time in her career.
