A statement from the royal palace has announced that Filip, King of Belgians, will receive the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in audience in Brussels tomorrow.
Today, King Filip and Queen Mathilde are still on a state visit to Kazakhstan. On their final day, they will visit Almaty, in the south-east of the country. There, the Belgian delegation is expected at the Institute of Nuclear Physics and will learn more about traditional nomadic life.
This is not King Filip’s first meeting with Volodymyr Zelensky. The Ukrainian president has been received at the palace on four previous occasions: on 9 February 2023, 28 May 2024, 6 March 2025 and on 18 June this year. In addition, the two heads of state also met during the World Economic Forum in Davos in 2024.
