VRT NEWS has learned that a carjacking is reported to have taken place in Tubize (Walloon Brabant) last night. An ANPR camera subsequently detected the vehicle, following which the Anti-Robbery Squad was dispatched. Upon the police’s arrival in Jette, the suspects are said to have got out of the car and immediately opened fire. The victim is said to have stood no chance.
‘What we have been able to confirm is that it happened during the pursuit of a stolen vehicle,’ says VRT NEWS correspondent Chris Verhaeghe.
