DNA tests have confirmed that two bodies found at the end of August are those of five-year-old Tyméo and his father, Bryan Brigou, who went missing in June. Traces of drug use were found in Brigou’s body. His mobile phone has also been found and is being examined.
DNA confirms bodies are those of missing 5-year-old Tyméo and father
The Namur public prosecutor’s office has released new information regarding the investigation into the deaths of Tyméo and 29-year-old Brigou. Their bodies were found at the end of August on the verge of the N97 motorway in Onhaye, near Dinant. They had been missing since the end of June.
DNA analysis now confirms the identities of the bodies, which had not been established during the post-mortem examinations. The cause of death was also not determined.
The father’s mobile phone has been found and is being analysed by detectives. Toxicology tests show traces of drug use in Brigou’s system, while Tyméo’s results were negative.
The investigation into the two deaths is ongoing. “There are still many possibilities that need to be investigated,” the public prosecutor’s office says. No further details are being released.
