In the automotive sector, it is common practice to supply manufacturers of parts, who in turn supply the car manufacturer.
Under the agreement, Melexis will now supply BYD, the world’s largest manufacturer of electric cars, with chips directly
The agreement strengthens Melexis’s position in China, the world’s largest car market.
Melexis’s chips are used in power sensors for battery management, in lighting sensors and position sensors.
