The series about rich youth living in Knokke ranks high on Netflix’s worldwide watch list for the first half of 2026
Season three of Knokke Off, the VRT series following the daily dramas endured by rich 20-somethings and their parents in the upscale coastal town, is the most-watched Belgian series on Netflix. The series, known internationally as High Tides, stars the Flemish pop music megastar Pommelien Thijs.
Knokke Off was viewed 5.5 million times in the first half of 2026, according to Netflix’s latest watch report. That makes it the 359th most-watched series on Netflix worldwide. It’s a solid number considering that more than 8,100 series are available to watch on Netflix. The number-one series on Netflix, in case you are interested, was the Netflix original mystery thriller His & Hers, with 104 million views.
In terms of movies, the Flemish film Wil, about the occupation of Antwerp during the Second World War, appears at number 2,897 (of more than 9,000 movies). Wil was watched some 700,000 times. The most-watched movie on Netflix so far this year was the Netflix original movie War Machine, with 146,900,000 views.
It was a record period for Netflix, with more hours streamed than in any other first six months of the year. Viewers worldwide watched a total of 97 billion hours of series and movies.
