Harry Potter exhibition with original film costumes opens at Brussels Expo on 16 July

People wishing to see the costumes and props from the Harry Potter movies up close can visit Hall 2 at Brussels Expo at the Heizel exhibition park from 16 July. The travelling exhibition ‘Harry Potter: The Exhibition’ takes visitors to the world of wizardry by bringing original film artefacts and interactive installations to the Belgian and Flemish capital.

The exhibition is based on the fictional world of Harry Potter, famous from the books by British author J.K. Rowling and film adaptations.  It takes visitors on a journey through the scenes, costumes and locations of the movies.

“The Portkey comes to life, guests can explore the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and experience familiar places such as Hagrid’s Hut and the Forbidden Forest,” say the organisers.

Brew your own potion!

The exhibition also features interactive elements. “Among other things, visitors can brew potions during Potions class, tend to a mandrake in Herbology and defeat a villain with a digital wand during Defence Against the Dark Arts.”

Tickets will be available from 7 July. People who register in advance will have access to pre-sales from 6 July.
