One person was injured in a stabbing at the Ribaucourt metro station in Molenbeek on Monday evening. The victim was taken to hospital in a critical condition.
Around 9 p.m., an argument broke out between two people in the metro station. “One of them allegedly stabbed the other with a knife,” says Laura Demullier of the Brussels Public Prosecutor’s Office. “The victim ended up in a critical condition and is being treated in hospital.”
After the stabbing the perpetrator fled the scene. “The prosecutor’s office was notified and has opened an investigation for attempted manslaughter,” Demullier added. “Efforts are already underway to track down the suspect.”
