Brad Pitt turns up at Julie’s Italian restaurant, takes pizza leftovers back to hotel

American film star Brad Pitt (62) just keeps turning up in Belgium. On Saturday, together with his girlfriend Ines de Ramon (33), he enjoyed a gluten-free pizza at Italian restaurant “Giulia Trattoria” in Brussels. ‘I was starstruck for a moment,’ says owner Julie Belaen.

Brad Pitt just keeps turning up in Belgium. Having already been spotted in the Brussels Jubel Park and at the ice rink in Haasrode (Oud-Heverlee, Flemish Brabant) the global star turned up in Brussels once again. This time at Julie Belaen’s Italian restaurant on Vlaamsesteenweg.

“On Saturday evening, we had the immense good fortune to welcome Brad Pitt and his girlfriend Ines de Ramon to our restaurant,” says Julie. “An hour earlier, I’d received a phone call saying that a very special guest wanted to visit us and that the utmost discretion was required. As it turned out, it was Brad Pitt.”

Julie couldn’t believe that the global superstar had come to her restaurant for a pizza. “When he walked in, I was absolutely starstruck. But then you realise they just want to have a nice evening, and you feel honoured that they’ve chosen your restaurant for that.”

Both Pitt and his girlfriend had a gluten-free pizza with a Belgian beer. “They actually stayed for quite a while,” Julie continues. “And they took the pizza leftovers back to their hotel in our pizza boxes.”

It was only when Brad Pitt and his girlfriend left the restaurant that the other customers recognised the global superstar. “Pitt was our first customer of the evening. It was only when he left and waved to the other customers with the pizza boxes in his hand that everyone’s jaw started dropping.’

“It was very pleasant and both Brad Pitt and his girlfriend were absolutely lovely. They also left a generous tip for our staff. It was a lovely souvenir,” concludes Julie.
