The price of heating oil is also set to rise, albeit more modestly. The maximum price per litre for orders of 2,000 litres or more will rise to 1.2449 euro. This is an increase of 1.38 eurocent. The last time that the maximum price for heating oil was so high was in November 2022.

The Federal Economy Department says that the price increases are due to higher oil prices on the international market. The war in the Middle East is driving up oil prices.
