A man has been injured in a shooting in the Kuregem area of the Brussels municipality of Anderlecht. Press reports of the incident have since been confirmed by the Brussels South Local Police Service.
In a press release the Brussel South Local Police Service said that “Yesterday (Monday 16 March) evening at around 10pm our officers were called to a person that had possibly been shot on the Pasteurstraat in Anderlecht. At the scene our officers found a man that had a gunshot wound to his left calf”.
The victim was taken to hospital. His condition is not life-threatening. It is still unclear what eactly happened. The prosecutor’s office has been informed and an investigation has been opened.
