It was a tweet from the KMI meteorologist David Dehenauw that confirmed that this Wedenesday will go down in the record book. David Dehenauw says that it is likely to get (a little) warmer before the end of the afternoon. The last top temperature record for 25 February was set 7 years ago in 2019 when temperatures at KMI’s Ukkel HQ reached 18.8°C.

David Dehenauw broke the news that a new temperature record had been set in a post on the social media platform X.

It will cool off somewhat during the evening a night with temperatures expected to fall to between 4°C and 10°C.
