On Sunday morning, around 300 owners gathered on the Esplanade of the Jubel Park in Brussels with their Volkswagen Beetles for the Love Bugs Parade. At 2 p.m., the parade set off for Beersel Castle, via the Merodeplein, the Tervurenlaan and the Generaal Jacqueslaan, through the Sonian Forest and the municipality of Linkebeek (Flemish Brabant).
As the parade coincided with the carnival weekend, visitors and participants were invited to dress up as ladybirds.
The Love Bugs Parade is a collaboration between the Autoworld Museum Brussels, Volkswagen and the Belgian VW Club.
