The federal police are asking witnesses to come forward in the case of the 15-year-old boy who was set on fire in Anderlecht at the end of last month. They are also looking for surveillance footage.

Police appeal for footage of attack on boy who was set alight in Anderlecht

The incident took place on Friday 30 January. During a fight between two rival gangs, a 15-year-old was doused with petrol and then set on fire. The victim was seriously injured.
Three underage suspects have since been arrested and placed in the secure youth detention centre in Everberg (Flemish Brabant) for at least 30 days. They are aged 14, 16 and 16. The public prosecutor's office is treating the case as attempted murder.
As part of this investigation, the police are looking for surveillance footage (security cameras, dashcam footage, doorbell cameras or other recordings) of the incident.
