A couple from the Flemish Brabant town of Landen have been found guilty of organising illegal sex parties in the cellar of their home. Dozens of men took part in gangbangs and group sex sessions with several female sex workers. At least 44 orgies took place between October 2020 and January 2023. The sex workers were paid a few hundred euro to spend hours performing sex acts with as many male clients as possible.
Prison sentences and fines for couple that organised gangbangs in the cellar of their home
The case came to light after several checks were carried out by the Social Inspectorate. It transpired that the sex parties were well-organised and made a lot of money for the couple that organised them. The court ruled that the couple consciously broke the law over a long period of time.
During an inspection carried out on 17 September 2022 the police found 101 people present at the couple’s home in Neerwinden, near Landen, among these were 11 female sex workers. 10 of the sex workers were Brazilians that were in Belgium illegally. The police also found a large amount of cash at the house.
A second inspection on 3 December 2022 found 40 male customers and 12 female sex workers at the house. 3 of the sex workers were in Belgium illegally. Once again, a large sum of cash was confiscated.
On 7 januari 2023 police inspected the property again. During their visit the chief suspect in the case received several calls from a person that expected to meet him that evening in Beringen (Limburg Province). The police went to the place the suspect had arranged to meet his associate and found that an orgy was taking place at which around 50 people, most of whom men, were present.
Specially equipped cellar
The sex parties mainly took place in a specially equipped cellar at the couple’s home. What started off small in 2020 grew into larger and better organised events.
The female sex workers were paid between 350 and 600 euro to perform sex acts on dozens of men. The male participants paid between 250 and 300 euro each. The couple advertised the sex parties via messaging apps such as WhatsApp.
Custodial sentences and fines
The chief suspect was sentenced to 40 months’ imprisonment, 20 months of which suspended. His partner was given a 20-month suspended sentence. They were fined a total of 400,000 euro.
