King Filip and PM De Wever see President Trump in Davos

The meeting that in the event lasted 15 minutes was long in doubt due to President Trump’s late arrival at the gathering and the other participants’ diary commitments. There is no information about what exactly was said. ‘We have agreed not to comment,’ said Prime Minister De Wever. ‘At the request of the US, talks between the king and prime minister will be kept confidential'.

So nothing is known about the content of the talks between President Trump, Secretary of State Rubio, King Filip and Prime Minister De Wever.

‘We will not find out anything about it either. At the request of the United States, the talks will be kept confidential,’ VRT News’s Michaël Van Droogenbroeck explained.

‘The fact that the meeting took place is remarkable in itself. The meeting was scheduled in calmer times at the request of the king of Belgians. On Tuesday, it seemed as if the meeting would be cancelled or even postponed. Yesterday, the prime minister said that he would make it clear during the meeting that red lines had been crossed in the Greenland dossier,’ explains Van Droogenbroeck.
