The Royal Meteorological Institute KMI says that there is more wintery weather to come. KMI forecasts dangerous weather conditions for motorists, cyclists and pedestrians between now and Saturday.
Further snow, freezing rain and gusts of high wind can be expected between now and the weekend. On Thursday we can expect freezing rain and on Friday the winter weather will reach a crescendo with an active depression bringing storm conditions and gusts of wind reaching speeds of 90km/h.
Following Friday’s storm, the cold snap will continue into Saturday with further snow showers expected.
It will be cold on Sunday too with temperatures across the country remaining below freezing.
