The airport authorities at Brussels Airport in Zaventem Flemish Brabant report delays of between an hour and 1 hour and 15 minutes to flight departing or arriving at the airport.
The delays have been caused by the wintery weather. Departing aircraft have to be de-iced before they can take off.
Brussels Airport reports that 40 flights were cancelled on Wednesday morning due to snow. Of these 20 were flights due to depart from Zaventem with the other half flights that were due to arrive there.
Brussels Airport says that 90% of planned flights are taking off and landing, albeit with some delays.
