Eurostar rail service have resumed following Tuesday afternoon’s power failure in the Channel Tunnel. The international rail operator says that all its services between Brussels and London will depart as normal today (Wednesday 31 December).
Delays and cancellations remain possible so it is best to check Eurostar’s website.
Eurostar said in a statement that “We plan to run all our services today, but due to the impact of the incident, there may still be delays and possible last-minute cancellations”.
Problems with overhead power lines in the Channel Tunnel meant that Eurostar had to cancel all its service to and from London for several hours on Tuesday. Passengers were advised to postpone their journeys or ask for a refund.
