Last week, excavations were underway in the East Flemish hamlet of Velzeke, near Zottegem. The aim was to learn more about a Roman army camp that is believed to be the largest in Flanders. It was known that Romans set up camp in Velzeke, but until now it was unclear what exactly this entailed. Report: Saskia De Schutter.
