Air China will connect Brussels Airport with the Chinese capital Beijing – a route already served by Hainan Airlines – and with Chengdu, a metropolis in central China.

Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan province, will be the fifth destination on the Chinese mainland in Brussels Airport's passenger network, after Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen and, for the past ten days, Chongqing. Hainan Airlines operates on these routes. Juneyao Air also flies between Brussels and Shanghai.

There are also Cathay Pacific flights between Brussels Airport and Hong Kong, the special administrative region.

Cargo flights between Brussels and Chengdu have already been operating for some time now.
