Mayor filmed staggering drunk through the streets of Sint-Truiden lodges complaint against person that shot the footage
In an interview with the daily ‘Het Belang van Limburg’ Mr Vandenhove says that he has lodged a complaint against those that filmed him. The Mayor of Sint-Truiden confirmed this in an interview with VRT News.
“The story of what happened is what it is, but I don't think you can just film people without them knowing. Last week, I filed a complaint with the police against both persons unknown and against a specific person that I heard was bragging about having made the video”.
‘I will discuss what further action I can take with my solicitor tomorrow. It doesn’t matter whether it's me or someone else, my point is that you can't just film someone at will.
“It's now up to the public prosecutor's office to decide what to do”.
