The supermarket chain Colruyt has told its customers that Lotus Bakeries Belgium has decided to recall some batches of its Suzy Liège waffles and Lotus Favourite Moments assorted biscuits. The decision was taken in consultation with the Federal Food Safety Agency after a supplier of one of the ingredients contained in the waffles and biscuits warned that some batches may contain small pieces of plastic.
Lotus Bakeries is asking customers not to consume the affected products and to take them back to the shop where they bought them. Anyone that has bought Lotus Liège waffles and/or Favourite Moments with the best-before dates listed below will receive a refund.
The Suzy Liège waffles that are being recalled were sold between 1/10/2025 and 23/10/2025 and have the following best before dates: 12/12/2025, 17/12/2025, 25/12/2025, 26/12/2025, 29/12/2025, 30/12/2025 and 1/1/2026. They have article numbers 5907, 12458, 24067, 24105, 24130, 25698. Their barcode numbers are 5410126012576, 5410126012378, 5410126012095, 5410126262025, 5410126012439, 5410126012453.
The boxes of Lotus Favourite Moments biscuits that are being recalled have use before dates of 9/12/2025 and 16/12/2025. Their article number is 25603, and their bar code number is 5410126507300.
