The man was extradited to Belgium earlier this week. He will appear before the court on Tuesday, which will decide on his further detention.

A first suspect, a 45-year-old Russian, has already been questioned in Belgium and brought before the investigating judge in Bruges. He was arrested on suspicion of murder and his arrest was extended by a month on Tuesday by the court.

The two men, both truck drivers, got into a fight with a 56-year-old man in Zeebrugge last month. The victim was beaten and kicked and eventually died from his injuries.

The suspects fled after the incident. Thanks to a wanted notice and international cooperation, they were caught in Poland a few days later.
