Droneport, the Flemish aviation business park and test centre for innovative companies in Limburg, is well placed to prepare for electric air travel. E-planes are seen as the future: they don’t emit any greenhouse gases and don’t contribute to global warming. A scale model of an electric airplane that will be able to carry out sustainable and fast flights between European destinations is now ready. Cosmic aerospace, a US-based company, which is developing the craft unveiled the prototype at the former military air base of Brustem (Sint-Truiden) in Limburg, where the business park is located, earlier this week.
