The body of a 65-year-old woman has been found at Spoor Oost a large area of open space in the east of Antwerp. The discovery of the woman’s body was first reported by the daily ‘Het Laatste Nieuws’ and has since been confirmed by the police.
The police say that an investigation has been opened, but as yet there is no indication of foul play.
The woman’s body was found by police at around 8:15 on Tuesday morning. Kim Bastiaens of the Antwerp Local Police Service told VRT News “The investigation is still ongoing, but we have as yet not found any indication of any wrong doing”.
