Police detained 7 people after a stabbing incident at Bruges railway station on Sunday. The West Flemish public prosecutor's office and local police have confirmed the arrests. It is not yet clear exactly what happened and how many victims there are.
The stabbing happened at the rear entrance of Bruges railway station on Sunday morning. Police were quickly at the scene and were able to arrest seven individuals. ‘It is not yet clear who are the victims and who are the perpetrators,’ the public prosecutor's office said.
Several people were taken to hospital. It is not yet clear exactly how many victims there are. ‘There is also still a lot that remains unclear about the circumstances and cause of the stabbing incident,’ the public prosecutor's office said.
In the interest of the investigation the prosecutor's office would not provide any further information about the incident.
