Returning to Belgium after a Lotto Arena show last year, the renowned folk rock singer is heading to a more intimate venue
The legendary American folk rock musician Bob Dylan will play three shows in Bozar in Brussels this autumn. The shows are scheduled for 26, 27 and 28 October. Tickets go on sale on 18 July at 11.00 via event promoter Gracia Live .
The 84-year-old singer is continuing the tour kicked off four years ago in support of his 39th studio album Rough and Rowdy Ways. With the recent release of the biopic film A Complete Unknown, Dylan’s appeal has widened even further, particularly among young people.
Phone-free concert
Dylan started his career in the New York folk music scene of the 1960s. Writing cornerstone protest numbers like “Blowin’ in the Wind” and “The Times They Are a-Changin’,” he is also credited for ushering in the notion of folk and rock fusion with songs such as “Like a Rolling Stone” and “Maggie’s Farm”.
He has sold more than 125 million albums in his 65-year career and in 2016 was the first – and still only – songwriter to win the Nobel Prize for Literature.
Dylan played Lotto Arena in Antwerp last year and in Vorst Nationaal in Brussels two years before that. But this autumn’s shows are in a much more intimate setting. They are part of the current Rough and Rowdy Ways World Wide Tour, which in fact kicked off four years ago.
It will be a phone-free concert, according to organisers. Concert-goers will be required to put their devices in a locked pouch that they keep with them. The pouches are unlocked after the show.
