1.85 million euros spare? There’s a triplex for sale in a Brussels water tower!

Fancy living in a water tower? Anybody with that as a dream could do worse than to head for the Brussels suburb of Vorst.  Sotheby's has a triplex, an apartment on 3 floors, on its books in the former water tower on the Molièrelaan. Interested parties should expect to dip deep into their wallet!

Behind a metal fence near the Molièrelaan in Vorst you will find the entrance to the Marconi water tower. It was built in 1904 and used until 1934. In 2007, the structure was converted into housing by architects Paczowski & Fritsch in collaboration with CM Architectes Associés.

The 3-bedroom triplex on offer is 35 metres above the ground and is accessed via a walkway connected to an outdoor glass lift. A terrace with a view of the surrounding area has been constructed on top of the building. The total available space in the triplex is about 274 square metres.

‘It’s a mix of technical talent and extravagance,’ is how Sotheby's describes the property. However, it’s also a combination that comes with a hefty price tag. The asking price is 1.85 million euros.
