The Brussels-Capital Region now boasts an additional 14 restaurants that have been given the "Brusselicious" quality label. The addition of 14 restaurants to the list brings the total number of restaurants with the "Brusselicious" label to 40.
The newly updated "Brusselicious" list was announced by the Brussels Tourist Board Visit.brussels in a press statement earlier this week.
The Brusselicious label was launched in 2024. Its aim is to help both locals and visitors find restaurants that provide a truly authentic Belgian dining experience. When it was launched last year, the jury selected 26 restaurants to be awarded the "Brusselicious" label. They have all retained their "Brusselicious" status and this year have been joined by an additional 14 restaurants.
Jury members assessed restaurants serving typical Belgian dishes based on criteria such as product quality, authenticity, origin and freshness. Cooking techniques, the typically Belgian ambiance of the establishment and value for money offered were also key factors in the selection. Among the eateries in the Brussel City Centre to have been awarded a "Brusselicious" label this year are Brasserie Ommegang, Le Corbier, Taverne Du Passage and Belga Queen.
Restaurants in several other municipalities also made it on the list: Les Potes and Toque in Ganshoren, the Waterloo in Sint-Gillis, the Brassins in Elsene, Timber in Watermaal-Bosvoorde and Au Repos de la Montagne and Pigeon Noir in Ukkel. Au Stekerlapatte in the Marollen area of Central Brussels was also awarded the label. Three relative newcomers to the Brussels culinary scene Brasserie Boemvol, Kartouche and Le Petit Bonbon were also among the restaurants to be declared "Brusselicious" by Visit.brussels.
