Appeal issued to trace 13-year-old boy

The Turnhout division of the Antwerp Prosecutor’s Office has issued an appeal for information on the whereabouts of a 13-year-old boy that went missing in January from the Dutch city of Eindhoven. The investigation into the boy’s disappearance in The Netherlands has found links to Belgium.

Published:

13-year-old Tijn was last seen on the evening of Tuesday 14 January when he left his home in Eindhoven.

The Antwerp Prosecutor’s Office says that “Soon the assumption was made that he was on the run from the law. Links to Belgium were establish through both Tijn’s family and his social circle. As part of the investigation into Tijn’s disappearance, anyone that has seen him or has more information about his whereabouts is asked to contact the police."

Anyone that has seen Tijn or knows where he is staying can contact the police by emailing opsporingen@police.belgium.eu or by calling the freephone number 0800 30 300.
