Lufthansa Group to gradually resume flights to Tel Aviv from 23 June

In a statement released on Friday, the Lufthansa group, which includes Brussels Airlines, announced the gradual resumption of its flights to and from the Israeli city of Tel Aviv from 23 June. Brussels Airlines itself plans to resume its flights from Zaventem to Tel Aviv “during the month of July”. Services to and from Isreal have been suspended since early May due to tensions in the region.

The airlines that are part of the Lufthansa Group will gradually start to resume flights to and from Tel Aviv from 23 June. The frequency of flights to and from Israel will gradually increase thereafter. Brussels Airlines will not be part of the first wave of flights that will resume and it is not currently planning to resume flights until July.

Lufthansa Group says that "Passengers booked on a flight scheduled before services resume can either book an alternative flight or request a refund".

Flights by Lufthansa group airlines to and from Tel Aviv have been suspended since early May, when Yemeni Houthi rebels launched a rocket attack on Tel Aviv airport.
