Many workplaces are not only closed on Ascencion Day that is a public holiday here in Belgium, but also on Friday 30 May. This means that some, but by no means all, of us will be able to enjoy a long 4-day weekend. But what can we expect weatherwise? A continuation of the cooler and at time wet weather of recent days or a return to the glorious sunshine we enjoyed earlier this month?
According to latest forecast we can expect more changeable weather over the next few. However, it will become warmer with temperatures reaching a very pleasant 24°C on Friday. It will be warmer still on Saturday with temperatures of 26°C or even 27°C a possibility. However, there is also a chance of a thunderstorm.
Thursday morning will see some sunny spells. However, it will remain dull in some valleys in the Ardennes. Later in the day it will become cloudy with some light rain or drizzle, especially in the north of the country. Temperatures will reach between 16°C and 20°C.
Friday will start off cloudy in many areas. It will gradually become sunny. Temperatures will rise to between 19°C and 24°C. Winds will be moderate.
Saturday will be slightly warmer, but the weather will be more unstable and there is a chance of a localised thunderstorm. Temperatures will reach between 20°C and 26°C.
Sunday and Monday will be cloudy with a few sunny spells and the possibility of shower here and there. Temperatures will reach between 18°C and 22°C.
