Members of the Order of the Brussels Moustache gathered in Brussels last Sunday with an important task on their mind. They had to elect the most beautiful moustache of the Belgian and Flemish capital. Their choice fell on Mehdi Ghorbal.
Last Sunday was a red-letter day for the lads and lasses of the Order of the Brussels Moustache as they convened to select the most beautiful moustache of Brussels. But does the winning moustache have to meet certain conditions? ‘It has to fit the personality,’ explains Marie of the Order of the Brussels Moustache. ‘It can be playful or just very serious, small or large, but also eccentric.’
In the vote Mehdi Ghorbal emerged as the winner. He is particularly proud of his new title. ‘My moustache requires a lot of grooming,’ he says. ‘On an ordinary day, I spend about five minutes grooming my pride, but if I really want to do the whole business, it can take up to an hour. There’s the washing, the drying, the combing and the waxing, it still requires between half an hour and an hour of my time,’ he notes.
