At the AZ West Hospital in Veurne (West Flanders), doctors have recently started using a camera pill and artificial intelligence to examine the small intestine. This a pill with a camera, which the patient swallows. The big advantage, as anybody who has undergone this procedure will surely tell you, is the fact that the examination is less cumbersome than traditional examinations: for the patient but also for the doctor.
