Charleroi fans had planned a special “surprise” for the derby against Standard. Smoke bombs had been installed under seats in the visitors' section.  The smoke bombs could be activated remotely. Some Standard supporters then decided to throw the seats into the air.

The police took no risks and immediately evacuated the section. Only after 20 minutes were the Rouches supporters - that’s the nickname for Standard de Liège - able to take their seats again.
