Non-Brits require a valid ETA to travel to the UK

Starting today travel to the UK for non-Brits is becoming even more complicated.  The UK has introduced the 'Electronic Travel Authorisation', the ETA, an electronic entry permit, if you so will.  A valid ETA, is essential if you wish to enter the country and do not posses a British passport or a costly Certificate of Entitlement, proving right of abode in the UK.  EU and other citizens can apply for an ETA online via gov.uk and approval may follow within minutes.
