Starting 1 July, the Flemish government is introducing a new system of renovation grants. Several existing grants are being axed, but people on low income will be able to count on greater support. Finding an agreement within the 3-way Flemish government, a coalition of nationalists, Christian democrats and socialists, proved difficult.
