A pick-up truck with a trailer drove through a union picket line at the Plenesses industrial estate in the eastern town of Verviers (Wallonia) this morning. Two Christian trade union reps were down.
‘One person was dragged along for about 30 metres and the other injured her knee,’ said a local union secretary. The person who was dragged sustained injuries to his ribs and head as he clung to the trailer.
Both injured were taken to hospital. The driver of the car fled the scene and is wanted by the police.
