The man that threw urine over the disgraced former radio presenter Sven Pichal has been identified. In December last year as he was about to enter the Antwerp Criminal Court to face child pornography charges, Sven Pichal was confronted by a man that emptied the contents of a bottle of urine over him.
Although the man had done nothing to disguise his identity and the incident was filmed, police had been unable to identify him. Earlier this week the police once again appealed for anyone that knew the man’s identity to come forward. Some of the urine also landed on Sven Pichal’s lawyer Walter Daemen.
The urine thrower ran off and was able to escape. The police launched an investigation, but it did not yield any results straight away. It is possible that a wanted notice issued earlier this week may have been instrumental in identifying the man.
The man has not been arrested. However, he will be asked to report to a police station for questioning. Police have not released any further details regarding the man’s identity.
