Terraces atop Jubel Park’s Triumphal Arch accessible once again

The Belgian government’s buildings agency has completed the renovation of the two terraces on top of the Triumphal Arch in Brussels Jubel Park, built to mark the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Kingdom of Belgium. Both terraces are now once again accessible to the public at large via the ajoining Army Museum and offer a unique view of the capital.

The wooden terraces on either side of the bronze four-in-hand chariot on top of the Triumphal Arch were completely renovated along with the lead roofing and balustrades and now once again offer an impressive view of the capital.

Work on the terrace on the Army Museum side was completed in 2024; that terrace has since reopened to the public. The renovation of the terrace on the Art & History Museum side has just been completed and it is now also accessible once again.

A metal balustrade is being installed in May 2025 to replace the provisional wooden one. The renovation of the terraces also completes the renovation of the roofs of Autoworld, the Art & History Museum and the Army Museum, the three museums in the Jubel Park.

The Army Museum and its terraces are open Tuesday through Sunday from 9am to 5pm.
