Saturday, 1 March, was the start of meteorological spring.

After the morning grey disappears Monday, it will become a sunny day in many areas the Met Office reports. Highs around 7 degrees on the coast rising to between 9 and 12 degrees elsewhere.

Tonight expect clear skies with the formation of freezing fog, especially in lower-lying areas and in the valleys. Lows between +1 and -4 degrees Celsius.

The rest of the week looks good, though nights remain chilly initially

After local morning grey in Flanders, Tuesday will be sunny with veiled cloud at high altitudes. Highs between 10 and 12 degrees in most areas. A northerly wind means it’s cooler on the coast with highs around 7 degrees.

Wednesday morning expect some local fog or mist to start, but it will soon become sunny everywhere. We'll see highs of 9 to 14 degrees.

Thursday will be a sunny day. The wind turns to become a southerly and it will be very mild for the time of year with highs of 12 to 17 degrees.

Friday and Saturday will remain sunny and very mild with highs of up to 18 degrees. Winds weak to moderate from the south to southeast.

Sunday we are expected to stay just on the edge of a zone of rain over France. Belgium will see more cloud, but it will remain mostly dry with highs rising to 16 or 17 degrees.
