Hadja Lahbib has voiced strong support for Ukraine on the third anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion of the country. Ms Lahbib is the Belgian European commissioner responsible for equality, preparedness and crisis management.

Posting on the former Twitter Ms Lahbib said: ‘In Ukraine, the wounds of Russia’s aggression run deep. History will not be rewritten: Russia is the predator. Ukraine will not be its prey. Its people did not choose war. They chose a future in the European family. Despite war, they continue their path to the EU'.
'Ukraine has made tremendous progress: strengthening its governance, economy, and institutions. The EU is by their side, in solidarity, supporting their efforts every step of the way'.
