Kevin Orban and Marc Van Ginkel have broken the darts duration world record. At the sports hall in Brecht (Antwerp Province) they threw darts for 61 hours. The money they raised will benefit a breast cancer charity
At 8 o'clock on Sunday evening friends and family of Kevin and Marc erupted in applause at the sports hall when they saw how the twosome broke the darts world record.
Kevin and Marc had started their record attempt at 7am on Friday. They continued for 61 hours without sleeping.
‘I'm dead, dead, dead tired,’ said an exhausted but satisfied Kevin after breaking the record.
Money raised for breast cancer research
The record attempt was in aid of Pink Flight, the organisation Kevin founded to give breast cancer patients a helping hand. ‘My wife was affected by breast cancer a few years ago. Since then, I have been organising events to raise money.’
