Search continues for 64 year-old Flemish Brabant woman that went missing after going out for a walk in the snow
64-year-old Denise Cludts decided to go for a walk through the snow-covered countryside near to her home in Kortenberg, a municipality that is located between Brussels and Leuven. On Thursday afternoon she failed to turn up for an appointment and was reported missing at 1:22pm. Ellen Durie of the Leuven prosecutor’s office told VRT News that Ms Cludts' disappearance is abnormal and out of character. The police and the Missing Person’s Unit carried out a large-scale search of the area around Kortenberg and neighbouring Meerbeek.
The park around the Old Abby was cordoned off and sniffer dogs were deployed in an effort to find Denise Cludts. A helicopter was also deployed in an effort to locate her.
At the time of her disappearance Denise Cludts was probably wearing a kaki jacket and walking shoes. She was possibly wearing a green bobble hat.
