The Royal Meteorological Institute (KMI) has issued a warning for slippery conditions on roads, cycle paths and footpaths on Friday evening, Friday night and Saturday morning. Temperatures will drop to below freezing throughout the country and icy patch will form. In several part of the country mist could reduce visibility to less than 200 metres.
The warning for slippery condition comes into force from 7pm on Friday and lasts until 12 noon on Saturday. Particularly in areas where there is snow on the ground KMI calls on those venturing out to be careful. Snow that has melted during Friday will freeze again during the night and pose an extra risk to motorists, cyclists and pedestrians.
Mist and freezing fog can be expected from 6pm. They will reduce visability to just 200 metres between 6pm on Friday and 11am on Saturday.
Showers of rain are forecast for coastal areas. Rainwater could freeze on frozen road surfaces. Elsewhere it will remain mainly dry, apart from a few localised snow showers.
