The city of Brussels is once again organising its traditional New Year's Eve fireworks display at the Atomium at the Heizel on New Year's Eve.
‘Experience the magic of New Year's Eve under a sparkling sky at the foot of the Atomium, the emblematic symbol of Brussels,’ the city of Brussels urges. The event is intended to ‘charm everyone who wants to celebrate the transition to 2025 in company, in an enchanting atmosphere’.
To get the party started the evening begins with a DJ set. At midnight ‘a spectacular fireworks display’ designed by Aquarêve will light up the Brussels' sky.
No longer on the Paleizenplein
In past years, the city of Brussels organised its New Year fireworks display on the Paleizenplein in the centre of Brussels. On New Year’s Eve 2024, some 55,000 people attended the event. From 2017 to 2019, the Heizel was the venue. Some 65,000 people would gather at the foot of the Atomium. The following 2 years, the fireworks display was cancelled due to the pandemic.
