Free entry to Belgian Beer World for people of Brussels

For two weeks, from 12 to 25 November, everybody with an address in Brussels will gain free admission to the beer museum Belgian Beer World situated in the stock exchange building in the downtown.  Belgian Beer World opened in September last year.  It’s an experience centre offering an insight into Belgian beer culture and its various breweries. Tickets normally cost 17 euros, although there are concessions for seniors and children.

One free admission is granted per person between 12 and 25 November, if you are able to show an identity card proving you are resident in the Brussels region. Admission also includes entry to Bruxella 1238, the recently renovated archaeological museum, which includes the 13th-century ruins of a former Franciscan monastery.

The City of Brussels bought the stock exchange building in 2011 for some €5 million after which the building was renovated.  Renovation cost over €80 million. So far, the museum has been unable to attract the projected number of visitors.
