A woman from Brussels must pay a fine of 13,000 euros because she was caught speeding on the E40 motorway in Ghent in East Flanders on 32 different occasions. The judge dealt with each offence separately, piling up a hefty fine.
In addition to the 32 speeding offences the senior from Brussels was taken to task for failing to get her car inspected on time.
Because each offence was assessed separately, the woman now has to pay a total of 13,000 euros. Each separate offence also incurred additional legal costs. The woman driver contested the charges arguing she had been a little distracted.
